RoleWe are seeking an experienced People and Culture Generalist / Talent Acquisition Specialist with a passion for, and previous experience in, talent acquisition and human resources to help manage the rapid growth we're experiencing. Your role will be split between working with hiring managers and our external recruiting partners to recruit the best talent possible who will work to achieve Angel's North Star while also acting as the key HR liaison for our growing employee base, ensuring they have what they need to perform well. This role reports to the Director, People and Culture. (This role is in-office in our Provo, Utah headquarters)

Human Resources Management:

  • Act as an onsite People Team contact for all employees along with the Employee Experience Manager
  • Provide first line employee-facing support by fielding employee questions and requests and elevating more complex issues as needed
  • Handle the administrative aspects of new hire onboarding and employee offboarding
  • Support benefits/insurance administration and payroll, in collaboration with the Finance Team. Act as the liaison between employees and the benefits broker as necessary
  • Maintain personnel files and conduct audits to ensure the files are accurate and complete
  • General administrative tasks such as filing, employee records maintenance, and HRIS up-keep and maintenance
  • Maintain employee and compensation records
  • Partner with People Team to develop, organize, and manage new key strategic initiatives
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute employee experience and engagement activities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of company events and team building activities
  • Stay up to date with trends in HR best practices and technology, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for change

Talent Acquisition / Recruiting:

  • Post and manage open positions on Angel Studios' website, LinkedIn, and other sites to create awareness and interest in job openings
  • Conduct sourcing activities through web, social media, in-house talent, and employee referrals
  • Partner with managers and leadership to create or update job descriptions for open roles
  • Assist hiring managers in reviewing profiles, applications, and resumes to identify applicants whose qualifications, skills, and experiences best match Angel Studios' needs
  • Maintain up to date communications in ATS (Lever) for hiring manager visibility
  • Partner with and manage external recruitment and resource providers, as necessary
  • Train hiring managers and members of the interview teams on how to use the ATS to review resumes and submit interview feedback
  • Ensure an excellent candidate experience through all parts of our hiring process
  • Keep a pulse on talent acquisition trends and suggest new ideas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team and Director, People & Culture on the continual improvement of our recruitment processes, employer branding and candidate experience

We would love to work with you if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, or similar role
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, ideally in Tech, G&A, and Marketing
  • Passionate about the "hunt" for top talent and managing the candidate experience
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, be flexible, detail oriented and able to prioritize
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a natural problem-solver, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases, and professional networks
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, discretion, and confidentiality
  • A ‘get it done’ creative attitude and an ability to seek out and implement novel solutions to meet a growing, dynamic, and ever-changing environment
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with passion and enthusiasm
  • Love what we are about and align with our North Star and values
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Suite, and ATS software (Lever is a plus)
  • Experience in HR analytics or employer branding desired
  • Experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative development is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
