What You'll Be Doing

  • Actively manage, motivate, and level-up a group of product designers assigned to different areas of the product experience
  • Partner with each of your designers to ensure a clear career development plan and consistent feedback loop on where they are excelling and how to improve
  • Help our designers be advocates for our customers and build strong collaborations with our internal front-line groups to identify customer goals, pain-points, and potential delights
  • Contribute to the overall product design direction, effectively present training, lead workshops, and advocate for best practices across the product design team as a whole
  • As part of Design leadership, advocate for a focus on quality and further connect the dots between customer and business outcomes
  • Effectively coordinate with other managers over product and engineering, building trust, cohesiveness, and ensuring the successful delivery of compelling product and customer experiences

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading or managing a team of at least 4 or more designers
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate well with cross-functional team members by expressing your ideas clearly, setting aside your ego, and supporting solutions and leadership vision
  • A successful career as a user experience designer, product designer, or user experience researcher for teams both large and small
