What We’re Looking For 
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for development that is always watching for ways to improve and grow. We want engineering leaders who are passionate about leading and helping their team in solving problems and addressing customers’ needs. As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for taking a well-performing team to the next level. You will challenge current processes and procedures… and help streamline and improve them. You will be responsible for professional development of your team and will work closely with them on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers and technology projects.
  • Establish a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, a high degree of craftsmanship, and personal growth.
  • Evangelize software development best practices and set exceptional standards for the team.
  • Plan, design, communicate, and implement reliable, scalable, and extensible software systems.
  • Lead technical discussions and plans to improve the company’s overall software quality.
  • Support the software and area of your team's ownership
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on product and technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and writing in English.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points

  • 1+ years experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Background as an engineer.
  • Experience working with Agile development frameworks.
  • Experience with Jira a plus.
  • Experience with working remote.
